Patoro Terre Blanche Global Release
PATORO Cigars, founded in 2001 in Switzerland, will celebrate its 20th anniversary with the launch of a new cigar line: Patoro Terre Blanche.
Over the centuries, erosion has caused limestone from the Northern Cordillera of the Dominican Republic to slowly wash into select fields located in the Cibao valley. The result is an abundance of a key component in growing tobacco: Calcium. The soil in these areas rich in limestone has a notable light color which gives its name to this new series of cigars: Terre Blanche.
The Patoro Terre Blanche series cigars source tobacco from the plantations of Leo Reyes, who represents the 6th generation of tobacco growers. The cigar’s filler and the binder tobacco are both Dominican, wearing an elegant Connecticut Ecuador wrapper.
The smoke of Patoro Terre Blanche allows one to appreciate perfectly balanced flavors and carries complex aromas of great finesse. The premium quality of the tobacco from these blends is, among other factors, the result of 4 to 8 years of tobacco maturation. The limestone soils from which they come give the blend of this series a certain sweetness that will charm the most demanding aficionados.
Two formats are set to launch first in the United States: a majestic gordo 54 x 6” and an elegant lancero 40 x 6 ¾”. While the gordo offers a large volume of smoke and therefore an opulent stimulation, the lancero format perfectly highlights the delicacy and finesse of this blend. A robusto vitola will complete this series in the upcoming year.
25 Patoro Terre Blanche cigars are elegantly held together with a white silk ribbon and presented in natural wood cabinet boxes.
